I’ve been sitting here cleaning off my desk which is what I always do at the end of the year you know my once a year thing to do when I started reflecting the last year. There have been many changes at the studio this year all good but with many learning curves to go with. We decided to go video along with photography which has been a new exciting learning curve for me. I hired a very experienced photographer videographer Shaun Pitts and I was brought by my deceased mother a very talented Jeff Vehrs which has brought together a fantastic team.
I’ve always thought I wanted to live in a climate that was warm all the time but I had the good fortune to shoot in florida in the middle of summer. I was shooting for Continental Girbrau industrial washer machine that could wash 1000 pounds of laundry at a time. Well let me tell you it was 130 degrees on the top of that machine where I had to shoot a couple shots. Not good for someone from Wisconsin. My client Amy thought I was going to pass out and worried she would have to pick my off the concrete. I’ve changed my mind I think I rally enjoy the four seasons as long as I can go somewhere warm in the winter.
I feel so blessed to have this job and get to travel for work. Kelly Fisher took me on a road trip to Balimore.

We had an extra day so Kelly dragged me to go see the capital. So much history to see. I was so grateful that she was more like me than my husband Stuart and she wanted to see and not read. Well believe it or not this ws the second hottest place I had to shoot at and I was dying of heat stroke. I believe I had a bad knee going on and she dragged me miles and miles.

White House
I was so hot I had to jump the fence and run through the White House sprinkler. Sure beats having a stroke.
Then I spotted this guy driving one of those bike carts that carts people around. Kelly come on we have to do this. I know how these work because sometimes when it’s cold I take one back to my car after the packer games anyway she was really hesitant no I dont want to. I begged and pleaded and said if I walked another mile I would die so she agreed to try it. At first she felt really uncomfortable but then she started enjoying herself. He even took her to a store so she could get her kids something.
Tims the man

All and all we had a blast. Good food good shoot.
Cindy and I flew to Charlotte shooting Sean Caisse for SCA tissue. It was for his autograph card he is a Nascar driver. Thanks you again for coming with me Cindy she always makes things go so much better.
Then Shaun and I got to go to Miami to shoot the Homestead Nascar Race. Talk about fun! Shaun shot video while I shot stills. We got some great footage and photography. Being behind the scenes is always a hoot. Of course I got kicked out of three different places what why cant i just be up here for a few more minuetes. No one was using the deck. Come on I begged no if we let you we have to let every press people get down. Auwww. Keep your eye out for Shauns video it will be coming out shortly

So of course I was feeling guilty because the weekend we had to shoot was opening of deer hunting and Shaun had to miss it so we decided to take a ride to the keys. We ended up going fishing in the gulf. We both said it would’nt it be cool to catch a shark. Well all be damned if we didn’t both catch a shark.
Fiesty thing that fish was. we caught some makerils I think and a garbage fish. I believe I caught more fish than the guys.

Shaun at the ocean
Now last but least I am very honored to say I shoot for the Green Bay Packers. I’ve always wanted to be famous for some reason and I think my fame will come when I am dead. I have two big pictures in the Packer Hall of Fame and many photos on calendars puzzles cups ect. I would like to thank Kate Hogan for all her support with these endevours. I’ve shot with the Packers the Packer pro Shop mainly since before the Pros hsop was anything. They were one room with one gal running the whole show. I felt sorry for her. No look at it. The Por Shop is bigger than life. You can get anything and everything there. Love It! Shop there often.
So one day Kate calls and says do you want to shoot a game. Of course I replied. Well I never get to just soot a game Im always there shooting for alternative reasons. This time Shaun and I had to shoot every player on the field in their uniforms on the field. Of course its 40 below or it felt that way took me two days to thaw out and they couldn’t have their jackets on because they were selling the throwback uniforms and we had to get them the files that night. Needless to say we got everyone on the team in uniforms and they sold the uniforms that week. It’s amazing how fast they went. I did get a few fun shots.

All and all it’s been a very productive year. I want to thank everyone that has worked with us, everyone that has thought about us and everyone that will be thinking about us in the 2011. Without all of you in our lives our lives would be incomplete and a little boring. I have been blessed with love and friendships, health, and willing to continue to learn throughout each year. I want to send a blessing to Marge Krug and My grandmother Aurita Korvela, and Bernie Brice who have left us this year. They will always be in my thoughts and prayers.
Writing this I cant tell you how I feel or really how tired I am so I will be on my way up north to my paradise on the lake and regroup for the next year. I am grateful for everything! Have a very Happy Holiday and here’s t the New Year everyone! Make it the year of you!
